Everything you ever wanted to know about popular online slot machine, Gold Factory, is on this page!
Introduction to the game
This classic from Microgaming is for the gold lovers out there. The game is set in a gold factory and the symbols used are all related to gold – gold-bars, gold medallions and lines of gold. As the reels tumble, symbols such as gold coins, trains, and conductors will tumble down the reels and align along the active paylines. Three or more matching symbols from left-to-right will pay out an amount shown in the pay table on site. The base game is played in the Boiler Room where gold is discharged from hoppers into a mini train. There are 12 hoppers and the player gets to pick four of them. In addition to bonus credits the rewards can include tokens that lead to another bonus game. After the next level bonus game is completed the player will be returned to the Boiler Room if he has any picks left.
The Gold Factory logo is wild and will substitute for any non-scatter.
The gold medallion is the scatter. When you get 3 or more scattered bonus coins anywhere on the reels, you trigger the Boiler Room Bonus and are whisked away to a line of hot boilers. Choose 4 of them to reveal instant prizes amongst which you’ll find one of two exciting bonus rounds, the Free Spins Bonus or the Reactor Bonus.
Depending on how lucky you get, every bonus round you encounter could potentially turn into three bonus rounds. Provided you don’t play too quickly, it can take several exciting minutes to work your way through them all.
Free Spins Bonus – Here, you get to choose from two pods to reveal the number of free spins you win – up to 35! All wins during the free spins are doubled.
Reactor Bonus round – Here, you choose sections of the reactor and keep picking until you hit one of two Malfunction symbols. The longer you can go without causing a meltdown, the more cash you could get, with the potential of some very big cash prizes.
The Gold Factory Bonus
This multi-level bonus round is the heart of the game and is initially triggered by three or more bonus coins appearing anywhere on the reels. It offers a fairly substantial pay-out of up to 619,000 coins.
Other symbols in the game offer good payouts although not as much as wild and scatter. These are the man, the boy and the Gold Factory. After that, transport symbols which include a train, a hot air balloon and a submarine pay out slightly less. At the bottom of the payout table are symbols like gold cart, ingots and coins. What’s nice about the game is that although the symbols that lead to the larger payouts are limited, there are plenty of small wins you can gather along the way to keep you interested and enjoying play.
Audio / graphics
Overall, this is an easy and entertaining game to play. The animations are fun and lively, with the gold falling down the chute and the cute train moving around in the foreground. There are also other cute animations such as the air balloon flying low over the nicely depicted landscape. The happy, tinkling background track playing creates a light, fun, carnival kind of atmosphere whilst you play.
Gold Factory’s jackpot is generous but not huge at just over 50,000 coins in free spins. It’s enough to keep most people motivated especially when the game itself is so cheerful and fun to play.
Gold Factory is a fun game with some nice retro video graphics, 50 paylines and a solid jackpot. It’s easy to get the hang of and the multi-level bonus rounds can result in plenty of smaller cash prizes to keep play interesting and lucrative. Like most other slots, the bonus round is where the real fun starts, however, this game also offers lots of other rounds to keep excitement and fun in the higher levels. Gold Factory is a particularly good choice for rookie players, who want to earn some cash and learn a few tricks before going for the big time.
